We invite you to support the “Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies” (DIKAM) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for fulfilling in a most successful way its commitment to organize a most memorable World Congress, celebrating the 2400 years from the birth of the Stageirite philosopher, Aristotle.

The World Congress “Aristotle 2400 Years” is the high spot of all events to be organized worldwide in 2016 for the celebration of the “Aristotle Anniversary Year” declared by UNESCO, as it has the unique privilege to be held at the Aristotle University, in ancient Stageira, the birthplace of Aristotle and in ancient Mieza, the place where Aristotle taught Alexander the Great; nonetheless, because leading Aristotle scholars, are participating as Invited Speakers and members of the Honorary and the Scientific Committee. Furthermore, there is an impressive number of more than 250 contributed papers from 40 countries all over the world.

We firmly believe that, for all the difficult times Greece is experiencing nowdays, it is extremely important that we honor Aristotle’s work; a work which is unique in volume of influence in the history of the human thought and which continues to be present in the intellectual life of the Western world, as it has always been an integral and essential part of its cultural heritage.
